I am a classically trained Pilates instructor specializing in Reformer and Mat Pilates in the original New York method (PMA Certified). With a 30-year background in movement and more than 25 years in Pilates, I bring both depth and artistry to my teaching. My roots in performance and music – I am a singer with several albums to my name – inform my unique, expressive approach to movement.
Over the years, I’ve supported a wide spectrum of clients, from children and young athletes to older adults focused on longevity and resilience. Many of my current clients come to me for rehab and corrective work: I am highly experienced in guiding people through hip replacements, scoliosis, frozen shoulder, and post-surgical recovery. As a Breast Cancer Exercise Specialist, I also create safe, empowering programs tailored to women navigating treatment and recovery.
My work is both local and global – with in-studio clients in Toronto, remote sessions worldwide, and international retreats in Mexico through my company, Red Moon Retreats. I am also cultivating new projects in Colombia (Medellín) as part of my vision to expand Pilates and wellness offerings to an international community.
Beyond Pilates, I am the founder of Samantha’s Garden, my second business and passion project. There, I handcraft wildcrafted salves, body butters, and serums with minimal, clean, skin-loving ingredients – mostly vegan, eco-conscious, and always small batch. It’s an extension of my belief that true wellness honors not just the body but also the health of the skin, our largest organ.

Testimonial
At my first workout class at a new gym where Samantha was teaching, I – like many times before – had dragged myself out the door begrudgingly to go do a workout that I’d probably hate. To my complete surprise and my heart’s complete excitement, I had just walked into the class of an AMAZING teacher: Samantha.
For over a year I went every Wednesday to her classes, looking forward to them all week. I felt sore regularly, strong always, and LOVED how I felt and looked! Samantha’s teaching style is inclusive. She cares about you, and (best of all for me!) actually expresses how hard some moves are.
I’d always thought workout teachers just somehow loved working out all the time, or just never felt sore. But somehow hearing Samantha be on your side throughout the whole workout made me start to be drawn to how tough the workouts were, and to how great I’d feel right after!
She’s an amazing teacher. Her classes are tough, but I think you’ll learn with her that you’re even more tough, and capable. I am beyond excited that she’s now teaching some of her classes online. And if you’re up for them, I might just see you in there!
Thank you Samantha, for being so honest, so inspiring, for keeping all of your classes just enough different from the last that you know what to expect (that awesome muscle burn) but still new at the same time.
